Six to twelve points is plenty — the curve between them is interpolated in a way that will not invent a peak you did not measure.

Limits

What the figures do

A limiter, the way an ECU does it: everything above the line is simply not delivered. A torque limit flattens the top of the torque trace; a power limit holds power at the number and lets torque fall away as the revs rise. The lower the limit, the flatter and lower the result.
